Ana Mlynarska – Brasse is an award winning London-based film and television editor.
She is currently editing the second series of The Forsytes, a contemporary reimagining of John Galsworthy’s classic saga for Mammoth Screen and PBS Masterpiece. Ana also edited the first series, directed by Annetta Laufer, helping to establish its tone.
Following this, she edited ITVX’s Code of Silence, starring Rose Ayling-Ellis, Andrew Buchan, and Charlotte Ritchie. The show broke new ground in deaf-led storytelling and has been praised for its innovative sound design and authentic perspective.
Her other major television credits include BAFTA-nominated Unforgotten (ITV, Season 5), created by Chris Lang; the feature-length opening episode of McDonald & Dodds (Season 4) for ITV Studios and Mammoth Screen; and Channel 4’s The Jury: Murder Trial, a hybrid drama-documentary directed by Carys Lewis and exec-produced by Bruce Goodison. The series won the 2025 BAFTA for best reality series and the 2024 NRTA Award for Best Docu-Series.
Ana holds an MA in Fine Art and Graphic Design from the European Art Academy and a degree in Editing (Drama & Documentary) from the prestigious Polish National Film School in Łódź, where she was awarded a scholarship and graduated with a distinction. Her mentors included Oscar-winning editor J. Kaminski (Ida, Cold War) and E. Smal, long-time editor for Krzysztof Kieślowski (Decalogue, A Short Film About Killing).
Ana is part of Bafta Connect and she is a member of the British Film Editors Guild (BFE).
